Hi all. Newbie on the forum so this question has probably been asked before so will apologise in advance!

One sick 4.6 Rangy with aqir suspension fault (have been reading posts about this already) and an engine that drinks coolant like a teenager on a friday evening!

Been told by my local Land Rover mechanic that a liner has slipped but have gone no further.

Contemplated getting rid of the car but have decided I love it too much so want to sort engine. Assuming a new engine is required can you guys advise me on best source for a recon unit? Not sure yet if heads have been damaged but ideal option would be new unit.

I live near Brighton and have heard good things about Turner Engineering but I don't have a limitless budget!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's a case of what you want and I can recon the original engine to keep the car original as some people want

I had number two liner go in my engine and it just pumped coolant out of the expansion tank within seconds of starting, made a couple of phone calls and decided to go for a brand new Cos Cast 4.6 L block from RPI and got an upgraded camshaft fitted before delivery and that was the very next day, the quality of the new block is exceptional, very well finished, i am very pleased.
