@neilly has done some good work with his buyer's guide which you can find at:-
https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/handy-buying-alarm-info.311291/
Although it's a buyer's guide it does offer some general ideas about the Disco 2.
Regarding servicing, the general things such as oil and filter changes are well documented here on the forum.
There's a wealth of information in RAVE, including Owner's and workshop manuals. It can be downloaded from:-

Usual suspects, fleabay, gum tree or breakers. Try shpock, some good bargains on there if someone's got what you want

The bottle jack with mine is too small for the rear I keep a block of wood in the boot, people use the bottle jacks from sprinter vans

I have looked carnt really fine much thanks dose anyone know of a land-rover breakers yard near the Midlands burton on trent

Try equicar4x4 in bilston, about 30miles from you but think they post. They've got an eBay shop as well but best to phone

Equicar 4x4 Ltd.

You've got landranger 4x4 as well on the A38, mainly a garage but sure they've got a few breakers parked outside

Hi all anyone know where I could get a jack and tool kit from for disco 2 thanks
Where on your vehicle have you looked for the tools?
The jack is normally stowed under the battery cover under the bonnet, the jack handle, wheelbrace and foldaway chocks are usually in a long "wallet" stowed in the pocket on the inside of the rear tailgate door. The wallet should also contain the key and the cover remover for the locking wheel nut, if you have them fitted.

I haven't picked it up yet hopefully tomorrow, I will admit I'm not sure if there is a jack as never new where it was until recently will look when I pick it up the socket for the locking wheel nut is in the glove box but there is definitely no tool bag that comes with the disco price was dropped accordingly

You can get new wheel braces to fit the Disco 2, but be aware that a standard one won't do, it must be a 27mm socket such as:-
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2060353.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xdiscovery+2+wheel+brace.TRS0&_nkw=discovery+2+wheel+brace&_sacat=0

If you decide to use an ordinary socket set then you'll have to get a 27mm socket to fit the set. The same would apply to an electric impact wrench, but then it must be a socket designed for use with a "rattle gun". The same would apply if you're using a "breaker bar" or a torque wrench for tightening. There has been quite a discussion about using a torque wrench on the wheel nuts as a part of this thread:-
https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/girl-dies-after-being-hit-by-wheel.327822/

The thingy for pulling the cover off the locking wheel nuts, they're the ones with the dimple in them you can find from:-
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_odkw=discovery+2+wheel+nuts&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xdiscovery+2+wheel+nut+cover+remover.TRS0&_nkw=discovery+2+wheel+nut+cover+remover&_sacat=0

If your bottle jack is missing then you can get them from a number of suppliers. I also noticed that there are some complete Disco tool kits here:-
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_odkw=discovery+2+wheel+nut+cover+remover&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xdiscovery+2+bottle+jack.TRS0&_nkw=discovery+2+bottle+jack&_sacat=0

Being quite honest, the bottle jack is only good for changing a wheel when you use it on its own. If you ever have to reach under the vehicle or do any other work while it's up on a jack the safest way to go is to use good quality axle stands. Treat any jack with extreme care.

Thank for the info I will only ever use the jack if I get a puncture would never use to work on the car as did have a jack snap n drop an old car before changing a wheel so don't really like using them it would just b for emergency only
