I'll be doing my soon. I'll take some photos before I take them apart, just in case...
surely its a simple case of original wheels on a facelift vehicle courtesy of a previous owner, its happened before!
and he never noticed until he changed the pads and disks
The only way I can think this would work is if he had originally solid disks and pads, then fitted vented disks along with new pads meant for solid disks?
Don't you just hate it when people come on forums asking for advice and then you never here what the outcome was
Thats whats happening. If it had early wheels fitted to nearly worn out brakes would they fit? The when nice new correct brakes are fitted they catch?
Hello,
Just changed the front discs and pads, all ok, put the wheel on cant move it as it is tight up against the caliper, all parts used are OEM.
The caliper appears to be approx 4mm outward, this happens on both sides!
Any thought please as very fed up at the mo!
Thanks
Do you know anyone nearby with a FL to try one of their wheels on it, sounds like pre 2001 alloy wheels on post 2001 car that possibly had steels when new.Its not had new discs and pads in my ownership before, and not sure about the wheels, believed to be all original!!
