Looks good at that price....very useful for 3 amigos fault finding...if it works like it says it does..m

I posted about this a while ago and asked the seller if it would work with my 2003 TD4 and he said it would but I haven't had the bottle to risk £99.

Just a thought. Any members live near Devizes to go and have a demo and report back??

Or - any members live near reading Berkshire willing to share cost to evaluate and then either return it or buy another one???

Looks good for under £100 if it does all that it says, not just engine but transmission etc.

Cheers, Andrew

Got a scangauge 2 last nov , no faults or impending faults , touch wood :D has any one had a fault code on theres , is it just a code , or do you get a description with the fault code ? The gauge side of it has been very useful :)

If more people put up what scanner/diagnostic device they have, and what menu options it has, and what it can do, we would be betterer equipped to judge which devices are betterer than others. More importantly which ones are best value for money.

O.K - Have bitten bullet and messaged the u.k distributor of this device asking for an evaluation loan device and then I will test out on my 2002 TD4 and post results on Landy Zone.

If he wants to sell them and they are any good hope that they will play ball.

Watch this space.

Meanwhile, as Hippo says, if we all post our test results we will be able to see what is what.

I can confirm that the T300 has menus to reprogramme key fobs and present the vehicle security codes, but have not used this function yet.

Also - cheap EOBC V327 ebay interfaces provides little over and above instrumented readings, temp, revs etc.

Regards, Andrew

i would buy 1 if it does all it say on the web site I need to turn/reset my srs light for starters
will watch this space for more info
I guess im like a lot of other people who have looked at it endless times but are a bit dubious to take the plunge without further investigation and a trial maybe first

Looks ok, however unless you're planning on keeping with Land Rover for the rest of time, I'd go with a semi-pro diagnostics that reads a whole range of vehicles.

Here's the same item £10 cheaper.

Land Rover iCarsoft i930 Multi System Diagnostic Tool - SRS, ABS, Engine etc...

EDIT:

This is what I'd spend my money on:

Launch CRP129 VIII Professional Diagnostic Tool ABS, SRS Airbag, engine & Transmission

I noticed on the freelander video it didnt show the 1.8 engine in the engine options??? However on the ebay advert it does mention the 1.8 in the blurb.

I have sent an email enquiring..

1.8 is listed in the options. It comes under the heading MEMS 1.9 and MEMS 3.

Did anyone buy or get their hands on one of these diagnostic tools?

If so:

1. are they just read and clear fault codes devices only?
2. can they give live data like misfire count, talegate window request up status?
3. do they work on all LR products advertised or is there a license for each (like the hawkeye)

They seem very cheap if they do more than just read/clear codes on all LR's.

Hi,

Apologies for the delay - got the device (had to pay for it !) and then TD4 went kaput - see thread "Td4 engine smoking and knocking".

It appears to read and clear codes.

Also read live data; ENGINE temp, airflow, pressures, speed, pedal demand, sensor voltage, capacitor?? Brake switch, pedal %, GEARBOX, line pressure, lockup duty, ABS and SRS.

Currently the gearbox, SRS and ABS modes show 'comms failure' - but I haven't had time to work this out yet. I will be contacting manu to find out.

It also has a 'system' setting which allows you to put things into self test, lights up and tests dials and panel instruments etc - again, not time to check and write it up yet.

If anyone is near Reading in Berks and wishes to have a play - please let me know.

If we evaluate and respond to manu then we should have more likelihood of software upgrades to make it work correctly in all cases.

Cheers, Andrew
