Nope. It looked awful at first but after moving around a few times it's settled in place.

I will be buying a set however as I'm selling after mot.
Aw mate. Not you too???
Muddy Mods does them for a reasonable amount but I'm sure you can get them anywhere.
Will you be leaving the Freelander fold then?

Yeah mate. Been laid off so I'm selling all my cars and various personal items.

That's a bummer mate. Sorry to hear that but I'm sure you'll find something soon. You're too smart to be roughing it in the job you were in anyway.

Sorry to hear that. Been there, done that. It's not fun, but I found when one door closes, another opens up. ;)
Good luck for the future.

Good luck Colin - really sorry to hear that news - and just as the project car comes together too!

Well I've decided it stays. And I've been doing all sorts since. But for her to stay it needs to become my daily and needs to be brought up to a much higher spec even for a van, so it's been big tweeks.

She's not mot ready yet, doing everything then send her when ready. Today was fuel pump and filter, oh the joys. But its sorted now thank god. Those bolts are woeful lol.

The lift has settled, and I've camber pins for after mot when I get it all properly aligned also.

Finished this tonight, rear parking sensors fitted and also a reversing camera drilled but not yet installed. That's next to go with my screen in dash.

Think I'm also going to sound deaden the entire rear of the van before refitting trim, seems like a good oppertunity when it's all out. Maybe do under seats at a later date shall see.

But I've the mgf reversing mirror and dual vanity illuminated mirrors fitted now, which is always handy.

Next up, did this last night when I was unable to sleep. Weather was wonderful so made most of the dry evening.

DIY cheap thermal and sound deadening.

Next part of the project is these.

Rover 220 coupe turbo cloth seats. Bit dirty and a little tear in one but ideal for my needs.

Have stripped a few 25 45 75 zr zs zt seats before so know they share similar frames to Freelander ones. Will be a ball ache I'm sure sure I love these seats, just the right width for my *ahem* figure shall we say.....

Nice job!

My back tells me that the Freelander set is almost identical to the contemporary Rover 200 ;) LOL

ZR seats are superb, but I think I'll be keeping the originals in mine :)

ZR seats are great but but too tight for me, if I was a girl on a dating site they would describe me as "bubbley" which we all know is man code for a bit fat. Lol.

Drivers seat is on now and all functions work as they should.

Best addition I've ever made to the car, super comfortable.

I wish I had the space, time and cash for a project vehicle. I'd love to be doing stuff like this

Everything is 2nd hand or super cheap ebay special. It was my daily for a year until mot failure.

Even tyres are £50 a pop new. Lift kit was most expensive thing as I wanted brand new for it. Everything else has been planned ahead and bargain hunted rather than rushed.

Hi Colin
I haven't been in touch for a while due to major changes at home and work (and in my head). I also uninstalled Facebook as it was causing me too many distractions so don't see your site anymore but really pleased to see your still at it.
Keep up the good work
Ali

Know what it's like mate. All to well. Any word on you getting another?

Patience has paid off, I've wanted a set of the original rubber mats for not just this Freelander, but the one before, so about 3 and half years now!

Having the commercial with the cage ment rear mats where pointless and then these appear in ebay, almost if not brand new for pennies delivered.

Nice finishing touch for the interior.
