I bought some new brake hoses recently and they came with one single copper washer, but I can't figure out where it's meant to go?? I assumed that it went on the rear hose that connects to the copper t-piece but when the hose is tightened up the washer is loose.

Are there meant to be more or am I just being thick and missing something obvious?

Yes you are correct, well thatys where it fitted mine

I take it your washer was actually tight against the brass t-piece?

The part I bought was NRC4251 and everything I've looked at suggests this is the correct part.

I don't want to be putting the brakes back until I'm 100% confident that they're not missing something.

afaik, that tee is bolted on with a washer and nut to the body.

normal hoses put through a mounting bracket hole and are secured with a shakeproof washer and half nut. the rest are normal male/female 10x1 fittings

All of that is correct, but I didn't get any of the shakeproof washers (thanks terrafirma) and just one single copper washer (which is the but that has me confused - doesn't take much I know)
