Long story. Failed MOT with 7.5 emissions value (3.0 is max!)
TD5 Alive Tuning (stage two?) w. EGR blank, larger intercooler, remap.
I knew it's been smoking too much lately .. but 7.5??
I had a leak at the EGR blanking unit which I sealed yesterday. I also cleaned out the inlet manifold for mug.
When hitting 4000 rpm after the cleaning/sealing the engine cut off with a big black smoke-trail on the highway. It did not completely stall but cut down a second or so. Limp mode I guess.
(I once earlier tried this cut-out and at that point one of the jubilee clips on the intercooler hoses had failed - escaping the turbo pressure.)
Thought the MAP was mug'd - so cleaned it.
New test - felt it was running a little rough. It never really repped in a nice way. Always a little rough and with a feeling of some resistance. Disconnected the MAp and wow! The rpm went up so smooth!!! and of course I could also easily hit 5000 rpm if I wanted. Nu rough running - no resistance at all. No smoke but of course also gutless.
Connected the MAP again and recorded a Nanocom file. 4000 rpm - limp mode again. Three pictures attached representing the Nanocom data at the time of going into limp mode.
If I am wrong - please correct me on this view:
1) The MAP values look ok?
2) The MAF values looks ok?
The injector balances are all within +/-8
Why am I experiencing a 7.5 emissions value at the MOT? ... and why do I go into limp-mode WITHOUT any overboost fault readings???
The fault readings are: 10-1,10-3,10-4,10-5,14-1,14-4,14-5,20-5
01-07,01-05,04-01,14-03 (I believe 04-01 is related to disconnecting the MAP)
PM and you can get the Nanocom recorded file
Thank you all!
Lars
