Hey folks I found a lonesome orange plug[GALLERY=][/GALLERY] under the fuse box in the engine bay, any ideas what it does?

Looks an awful lot like the external temperature sensor connector, the cable for which is also described as solid orange.

Was there any length behind the plug or did it just sit there clinging to the fuse box? Did you see any colours for the cables running into it?

It just comes out of the loom that runs under the fuse box.

Any chance it could plug into the ambient temp sensor that they put on North american models? (Part number JTF000180)

I suppose it could plug straight in, the sensor itself is a 'Male' plug while this port is the 'female' end. Wonder if there was a Male-to-female extension that threaded through to the rail under the bumper?

It'll be impossible to tell without knowing where that plug goes to however - although I'm suspecting it may go to the centre console, and then onwards to the instrument pack if suspicions are correct. I've just not seen a plug like that for anything else so I don't know what else it might be

I think I'm going to have to play chase the cable. Just bought the ambient temp sensor with plug so need to have a fiddle in there anyway.
