This is the slow progress thus far. I have only about 4 hours a week to spend on my 109 at the moment so this is a long term project. I will be stripping her down to the chassis and then taking a look and mending that which needs mending and doing a complete rewire at least! Bits noted thus far: New radiator panel required, top end of the bulkhead to be replaced oh and a new radiator which I buggered up yesterday when removing!

Trying to remove all the gubbins from the bulkhead before ordering the replacement from Goole, £1300 as opposed to £2.5k plus for a brand new one!
On a slightly separate note, What are the correct bolts for the exhaust to manifold connection, last Photo above. Enjoy the bank holiday folks, I am sure we will all notice the difference..

Looks like a big job. Your going to need uge dollops of bothered to see it through.
Looks like the bolts are the usual bodge. The studs on the manifold will have fallen to bits and probably broke when trying to remove. Most people just drill the studs out and chuck a nut and bolt through. I know I did but I wasn’t going for originality. Just practical repairs to get the car on the road.

Thanks for that pal, I wondered why there was one stud and two bolts! I just want to make mine look decent and have a decent electrical system. The engine and gearbox work brilliantly and the chassis is in tip top nick so no need to alter any of that.
