That is a tough question, I would suggest flushing the complete system while you are at it, that said, about two litres would do the job, don't use brake fluid from a open container and what that means is if the seal is cracked don't use it, unless you are cracking the seal before you doing the job.

Right now me needs some help! Fuel pump wiring time, some one at some idiotic point in there life has replaced fuel pump plug with......
ImageUploadedByTapatalk 21373395888.861517.jpg

(Not me btw)

So now i have traced the wires back to original colours and put new wires on in different colours

Now the question is, can i easily get a plug that will fit in to the fuel pump? and what wires go to what connectors? I couldn't see anything in manual when i had a glance, but must be in there some where my guess is
Thickest black is earth for pump, smaller black is for feed to fuel gauge, then white and purple with be feed for fuel pump, and green and black will be feed for gauge?

Just need to know how they located in to the fuel pump plug , any pics/links much appreciated :)

looks like 2 earths maybe, i can check what is what tomorrow if you want, but yea one is for pump power and the other is gauge.
you can test the gauge with a mutil meter on resistance.. get someone to shake the vehicle while you sense it.

So the resistance would be across the earth plug and input for the gauge? will try that tomorrow, yeah if you have a chance would be much appreciated :) cheers

it will be 2 of the pins on the pump/sender the fun is finding which 2.
the other thing you can do it test for 12v when the ignition comes on, that should be the pump live, i think the sender is a lower voltage (i think pos the white/purple)

Found the 2 that are or the gauge, just need to know what goes on top/bottom plug for power , can work out once fuels in the tank
