We tried it without the backbox first as I cut it just before the box, and it was a bit on the loud side.... But thinking of it we were in a barn, maybe the sound was echoing?

Just been watching top gear and the noise of them v8's was immense ;)
 
Don't bother removing the backbox, as others have said it just increases the volume but does nothing for the character of the sound, just makes it sound like a chavmobile... I speak from experience :(
 
Ok guys thanks for the advice ill get it through mot first then look at exhaust mods etc...
Also why I'm on would anyone know where I can get the t piece that is on too of the engine from what I can work out its for the brakes as when the engines running I have no pressure in the pedal but when its not running they feel fine..
I believe its something to do with the vacuum??

All up and running passed mot with a few small advisories, love the car but the cost of petrol is crippling me so iv aquired a 300tdi engine and auto box to swap over. Thinking of just swapping the bodys
