Hi All,

I have recently noticed that my Freelander TD4 seems to pulse slightly when sat at idle. The rev counter jumps ever so slightly and the vehicle itself seems to slightly judder I guess is the best way to describe it.

Can anybody shed some light on what might be causing it please?

I should say that it runs smoothly when I apply throttle by the way.

Are there any other symptoms? For example difficulty starting when warm? Mine had the rough idling and difficulty starting when warm and it turned out to be the pressure sensor on the high pressure fuel rail. It could also be a faulty injector

Hi,

No there are no other symptoms. It starts first time in all conditions and the engine seems to be in excellent condition.

I have noticed a little oil around the left front side of the engine case so maybe a gasket has a small leak or a seal has gone.

Not sure if that would contribute to the problem though.

Regards

Rich
