I expect the clutch is fine as it seems strong. The master looks ok but the cap breather hole is blocked.
Even if I don't change the master, I think I will buy one 'just in case' :D
I hope you get your bearing fixed! When is the next trip as I am eager to do more than a quarter of the adventure

What gun did you go for? I'm going to treat myself to the dewalt next year when it's on offer

This was from the laning trip :)

I have the dewalt. I got it with the standard push ball instead of the hog ring. It’s a beast of a tool. It undone the main crank bolt on my 200tdi. That is an impressive task in itself, but the engine and gearbox were on a pallet out of the chassis, so nothing to really “lock” the engine. From personal experience, I wouldn’t bother with the deals they have on for a 5.0A battery, not for £150+ anyway! I got 2 off 3.0A batteries for around £30 each from B&Q, use one and charge one while working.

I can get the clutch sorted this weekend as the parts arrived today :) and I have just ordered a whole bunch of spares that should keep me busy over Christmas!!

:D:D:D

Xr? Cheers for heads up

I have booked the old girl in for her MOT on Friday. I have a long weekend to finish off all the little tasks :)

Hopefully all will go well, if not, I will just keep on replacing everything until she does pass.... :D

Good luck, hope all goes well.

Cheers

Yeah I think it’s XR. It’s the 18V batteries, but they can be used on the newer 12V gear.

My mate swears by dewalt and it's about right mid price range. I didn't see you'd replied until today. I think I'll go for one! So you bought the bare unit then a charging set and batteries from b&q? Thanks for info

I already had access to a charger, so went for the bare unit. The batteries were from B&Q, as they sell the 3.0Ah battery for around £35. I wouldn’t work on a vehicle without it now. I don’t use it for tightening up, but no problem with buzzing out tight bolts.

I'm still on all the welding/bodywork at the moment but have struggled with the odd suspension arm bolt. I think I'll get one in a couple months once I get onto the mechanical side of the build lol. Cheers
