OK so a bit more progress. Now, theres either a lot of body lifted Discoveries that are driving around having stretched the Ali steering joint to a very dangerous point, or theres another version with more adjustment than what I have on the three I have in stock. So in the interest of safety theres only one option:

Remove column:

Remove input shaft:

Borrow a Lathe:

Create an extension piece:

And Weld it together checking its straight with each zap:

Leaving and extended steering column:

And refit!
Last time the O/S wiring was sorted, this time the N/S:

Now im up with the VW boys in hiding the engine bay wiring lol.
Then it was outside for a pose. (unfortunately thats not me. I wish i was that god damn sexy!):

33s i think. Ill have to try and See what i can get on there and still get full articulation.

So did a bit more today...
Pre-dash:

Dash in:

Tidied the wiring going front to back, fitted the kick panels and fitted the centre console:

Started running winch control wires to the Mud dash:

Fitted the high power USB charging socket:

And found somewhere for the CB to go:

have the MOT booked for tomorrow but I doubt itll make it :(

And a PASS :) Did a couple of cheeky lanes on the way home too. Seeing as theres one right opposite the MOT place it only seemed right lol

I think the tracking needs doing but other than that like any other lifted landy. Engine feels good though!

Had a good day on it today. First off got it up on the ramps:

And got friendly with my old mate Mr Orange:

And sorted all the breathers out. Axles, both boxes and tank. Just the engine to do....

When the snorkel is done i can route them up to it...
