Use it while you can, There will be a slight frost on the ground soon so will render it uselss lol

Dont they just look awesome with the big tyres on and no arches!

Oh and you must be pretty ****ing chuffed with them two on the driveway :D

Wings are easy 5min job if its the first time. All the screws on the top,3 10mm bolts by the door and if you still got a standard front end I think you got a bolt at the front for the end cap. Don't be scared to tug on it as its got a bit of sealant round it.

Cheers dude. Think I'm going to have to get mine off; got a leak somewhere & I've tried all the usual bits without success.

More than likely the windscreen drain.I had a hole in mine that I found when I was putting my snorkel on.It had started to rust a hole through to the cab,I just bunged a load of sealant in there.Should do a proper repair realy:)

Looking forward to updates on the 3.

Mates just put a deposit on an '05 CS, I'm looking forward to getting back into e46 work. Had a bit of a time off since another pal sold his M3 for a CSL (which was insane) and then sold that and got a ****ing DBS instead now, what a queer!!

Best of luck with the work mate :)

****ing drool

I know everyone does it but have you thought about painting the kidney grills? I do think it cleans up the front end...

Some serious stance in that picture, i keep saving your pics and forwarding them to relevant mates :D

Nice one pal :)

Love it.

I like threads like this because it gives hope to all rusty Discos - mine isn't that rusty yet but that's only a matter of time.

Much easier to remove the outer panels mate, SO MUCH more access it really speeds the job up and there's loads more access for underselling etc.

Recommended!

Yeah quarters aren't too bad, held on by quite a few 10mm bolts, need to take all the interior trim out for access, and lots of small self tapping screws, a lot of which are hidden under the sealant which also holds the panels fast.

They are awkward but when you see the rust and **** underneath that deserves to be cleaned and treated you'll realise why you took them off!!!!

yep, afraid so!

i stripped mine right down and then jetwashed it all, helped remove the rust and mud in one go and let me see easily what was left.

not too much as it happens!

Mr Noisy - Did you waxoyl the inner panels?

Jabbae - Nice build so far, following with interest as I go though the same process

everything was wire brushed, repaired/welded, seams sealed and then schutzed up to the roofline!
