You bought it for £2k. But anyway, Do what you will with it.

I would have thought the Southdown was more durable as most of it is inside the wing - the safari snorkels look like they could be easily punctured by a branch or rock when offroading as they sit outside of the wing for most of the run. I'm sure you could get a new connectiung pipe for a few quid if the one already fitted is holed...

I agree the safaris are over priced. Very steep. But they are incredibly tough and flexible believe it or not. Mine got caught on a tree. Ripped all 5 of the 6 mm rivets out of the windscreen pillar, smashed my window guard and came into the cab. All that broke was the mesh. Just pulled it back outside again and re-riveted it and made new mesh and everything was fine.

We'll I paid £185 for a genuine safari new so I'm happy with that. Wouldn't of got it if it was £300.

Wheels go on tomorrow :)

Had a busy day today.

Mud terrains now fitted, put the rear seats back in along with the carpet.
Also hoovered it out. Filled the Hoover twice! Going to go do some more tomorrow.

CB radio fitted and wired up. It's currently not running so couldn't wash it but I G3'd the front wing and it looks good for it.

G3 is quite a course compound of polish, its great for removing scratches. I'll do a before and after picture for you when I go over it.

Everyone's asking why but it literally takes 30 mins to do full car.

No, I'm using my rotary polisher with a good quality pad. I will get pictures when I go up to where I keep it.

I thought id seen that disco before !!!

Will have them rear lights off you and poss snorkel, let me know what you want for the rear lights

Will look very tidy after a g3 polish

 That's either an incredibly dirty disco or a very good hoover!

Cheers mate. Yeah it was filthy inside. But I hoovered everywhere!

Stu, yeah no worries. I'll PM you
