I'm not worried tbh, as long as AF can't chalk it up as a sale and i get paid out in the event of an accident.

If you are happy, then that is all that matters.;) They rate very low

Never insured with Flux, but I did once ring them for a quote. And I found them incredibly unhelpful, apparently the fact that my 25 year old 90 was used for business as well as pleasure use was a major issue, and they would be unable to supply competitive quotes. It doesn't seem to be an issue at all for my present insurer.
My suspicion is that the real agenda was that as a fifty year old, with full protected no claims and a clean licence, there was little money to be made from me, and that thy would prefer to be milking a twenty one year old with an expensive vehicle.

I had a similar experience trying to insure my Disco for business use, they quoted me but it seemed too good to be true. I rang back later and checked, despite me saying (about 4 times) that I wanted business use I had been quoted for SDP + Commuting. I hate to think what would have happened if I had taken it up and had an incident before I read the certificate properly.

I think they are all as bad as each other tbh! I claimed about 6 years ago from admiral for a runaway car that the handbrake failed on. I had a few shall we say unknown mods on the car like escort cosworth alloys and a scaffold bar for an exhaust and the still paid out! :D

Recently some bird pulled out on me while I was traveling down a dual carriage way. I was in my BMW 3 series. She hit my passenger door and rear quarter.

Her insurance called me hours later offering me loan car, full repair by garage of my choice and no need to involve my own insurance as they admit full liability.

I got a decent loan car, my car booked into a garage of choice, full physio and a claim for personal injury all handled by them and myself. Its been the easiest experience to be honest.

Her insurance is direct line.

Only FYI.
hope you get your motor fixed asap :(

As before mhm and myself have op on speed dial, while i can't say too much- lets just say the op has been given our best advice which closely follows Citizens Advice.

X2
I had a woman run in the back of the other half and myself at a traffic light. The woman's insurance company gave us a loan car a good 2 weeks before our insurance company had even rang us up about ours. They handled the whole process really well.
She was insured with direct line and we were insured with quote me happy. We were quoted happy but treated badly. I have been insured with direct line for several years previously and my only gripe with them was the amount of time I was left on hold when ringing them up (normally atleast 20 mins) but I am considering returning to them

Any more news on this yet?

My Landy insurance is up for renewal and I'm currently with flux.

Me too - mine's up in a couple of weeks.
and they cocked up a simple change of address for me.

But at least they didn't charge me £25 admin fee, like what me van insurers did.
