That berk who caned it along the road in an "out of control" BMW has
resurfaced, in handcuffs. ISTR some of us saying that it was probably
an excuse as it beggared belief that someone could be so dumb, seems

LOL - straight to the point as ever Nige!!

OK, I can understand the brakes failing if he's trying to stop
a run-a-way car, but what are the chances of the accelerator
sticking AND not being able to get it out of gear? I can't
think of any reason you wouldn't be able to shift it into
neutral, even on an automatic - as I recall, neither could BMW.
All seems a bit weird to me. I was going to say why the hell
didn't he just turn the ignition off, but now I've seen what
he looks like I have no need to ask!
