My hippo makes a Clunk sound when I hit small potholes, manhole covers that are not leveled with the road surfasse and speed bumps. The suspension is mostly quiet and absorbs things well enough, however it makes these kind off muffled clunk/plopping sound from beneath.

These sounds come from the front and rear of the vehicle.

Any sugestions?

I´m guessing the strut mount rubber is worn, but i´ll have a peek at it over the week end and see what´s going on there.

Often small bumps can make the valves in the shocks knock. It's well documented on the MG forums. MG Rover also use shocks made by Delphi so it could be just the valve body design.
