Clivees can get it fur £10 fur 5Litres.

Wouldn't believe its so hard to get hold off!,Where somebody mentions ford earlyer on in the post they use 75w90 in almost all new cars/light commercials.

I gave trying to find the Texaco stuff and have used Dexron over the last 4 years, without any problems.

Thanks for that Adz, problem is that the deeper you get into this oil marlarky you find out that some of those oil's can have additives in that like eating Landy syncros and other brass & bronze bits

Must be a Land Rover ploy,recomend an oil that no one can get then tell them it's your own fault when yeh box blows cos you dint have the right oil in it

Jason, another option would be getting the Unipart MTF-94 from Allmakes France (www.almakes.fr). Log in their online store, http://83.206.253.195:5080/CCDISP.HTM, click "Simple visite" button and search for the reference GUL2622. They sell it in 2.5 litre bottles which is enough for an oil change (2.7 is for when the GB is completely dry). Unfortunately they have the ""FRAIS DE PORT INTERNET" of 9.4 Euro HT.

Here is a pic of the botle:



It says: "Uniport MTF-94 gear oil is a special gearbox fluid developed for use in the Rover PG1 and PG2 gearboxes as fitted in the MGF, selected 1996 Rover 200/400 and 800 and various Honda vehicles. This product meets with the requirements of Rover MTF-94 and Honda MTF-11."

Of course, this oil should be available in UK too.
