Can anyone let me know what MPG I should be getting,

93, 2.5 tdi. I dont rant it on the road dont get much above 2000rpm.
drive light trafffic 4miles to work and 4 miles home again, I am not looking at what it should be when playing coz that does not count.

I know its thursty but what would you lot think, expect from yours.
should i do anything to improve it.

I'm on about 18mpg at the mo, 300tdi though you'll be a 200 wont you ?

No been driving at about 70 on the m'way

I think it needs a service too, last one was 7k ago

Gonna clean the intercooler and might replace the pipes with silicone ones as it's still on the originals

mine works out at about 30p a mile…...

Yeah mine's about 20p/mile...still cheaper than a V8! lol

I'd prefer the V8 petrols a good 12p cheaper than derv here

But diesel get more mpg so they are cheaper to run (cost per mile, due the math)

If I get 18mpg out of derv and a V8 averages 15mpg but is 12p cheaper per L then the V8 is better……….

Other peeps are getting 26-32 mpg on diesel. Easy up on the right foot boy racer

I'm stuck at 23 mpg. intercooler cleaned 6000 miles ago
all oils and filters 2000 miles ago.
2" lift
standard size wheels (235/70/16)
AT2's at 38 psi
Decat'd and EGR removed.
177K miles
300 tdi - auto
would love to get close to 30mpg, but given up trying. I removed the roof rack for a 1000 miles again gained 0.8mpg improvement.

I was only doing 70 hardly racey……although I do tend to plant my foot to get up to speed

Ive been geting crap mpg anorl out of my 300 auto. I put 20 ltr in last week and got 80 miles out of it Only short 5 mile journeys. Im going to do the transfer box and axle oils and stick a new fuel and air filter on it. Hope I get some improvement.

Hi Vince, with our TDi 200 we would get on average 36mpg, but we weren't doing just 4 miles there and 4 miles back!!! Your mpg will be lower as the poor thing has hardly got warmed up.

Wrong vehicle for that work tbh - get yersen a bike!

Nice One Thanks lads.

So Service, then i will start driving the long way round now.

I want out on the plains with friends and on the way managed to find a gear i did not now i had when i got it up to 50 mph.
