I take it that will cost more for me with my mahusive landrover. Direct sounds good, getting them from an unknowen contact seems like un-necessery risk to me.

Im about to fit the new suspension to the jeep, the old stuff is finaly off after a terrific fight which ended with the big grinder cutting the leaf in sevral places.

O Carlos Guiterrez is well known :D

I don't know what you would do without that grinder :p

THIS IS MY GRINDER. There are many like it but this one is mine. My grinder is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I master my life. My grinder, without me is useless. Without my grinder, I am useless. I must grind my grinder true. I must grind straighter than any enemy who is trying to grind me. I must grind him before he grinds me. I will....

That got abit weard towards the end...:D

Yep, I'm beginning to wonder if you are not smoking homemade cigarettes at 1am :smokin: Would explain the slow progress and massive amount of angle grinding on the Landy :p

Sounds like you are up to your eyeballs in work, and sorting out your steering and suspension is possibly more important that helping me connect my subwoofer and spotlights, so I'm not really expecting to see you tonight, but if things have gone really well today and you are coming down, let me know before 6pm, as I am buying KFC, and I need to know how many buckets to get.

Did I get the impression you guys up in the lakes this weekend? I'm heading up there on Saturday 13th until Monday 22nd, spending a week with other half's parents. Much as I enjoy climbing moutains etc, if yourselves or anyone else what to meet up one day to do a few lanes I would be up for that.

Well that was the plan, but Rich'es vehicle is booked in for MOT tomorrow, only problem is his new steering box and steering dampers have not arrived yet...

My vehicle is also in pieces with much to do, so , maybe we wuz being too ambitious with the shakedown, watch this space

Nah its still good, i will "borrow" my dads jeep if it comes too it, like you say that needs shaking down too.

I couldent find Chris' place! I was a right donkey and left my phone at home, the GPS put me in about the right place but was more residential, spent half an hour looking around then gave up. The GPS put me a bit down the road from a pub with an old fasioned telephone box opersit (which only took BT phone cards). I would normaly go into the pub and ask around, but dident feel like going in dressed as a hobo covered in oil asking if anyone knew where the "6 eggs for £1" sighn was.

Wondered what happened to you, tried phoning and got the usual voicemail.. (starting to think you don't really have a mobile :D)

I'll give you a call tomorrow, the shakedown trip seems a bit cursed

Steering box is still not here. I hate sitting aound waiting for somthing you know somone dident bother putting in the post till way after you ordered it.

He dident charge me for the retest eather "because i did such a lovely job". :D

Good Job! Now I feel a bit bad for bailing on the weekend , but to be fair, the landy is currently undrivable, and taking a dog van would be slightly pointless..

I couldn't do another late night tonight, so we are going to hit it Friday night and Saturday, and then I will probably send it to a full time shop to get it finished off, as I still have loads of other stuff to do, but we'll get there

You should do. :p ive still got to build a spot light bar for the defender and wire it all, ive just finished the jeeps light bar, still got to wire it. Got to build snorkels for both, got to get my 6 x 9s in and a complite sterio system in the jeep. Got to remount the defenders roof rack without the spacers and take the roof hatch off. Got to put together some tool kits and mount them, change the steering damper and finish the steering. Also got to re think my rear shock absorbers (mounting positions) as the handeling at high speed it too dangerous when the vehicles loaded. Got to change the jeeps coil springs, and fit its CB radio. I have much other stuff to to to that i cant even remember now. But then again, im not running a buisness.
