At the risk of sounding like yer Muvva, have you put it in soak? Yes it's got rust on the bearing, whether it'll go bang like the last one............dunno. Like I sed, I reckon after a good soak in oil it's worth a punt. Easy enuff to change & if you'd kept yer gob shut & it did go bang you coulda really had a moan up.

Still surprised it hadn't bin painted pink before being sent tho'. ;)
 
nope _ I aint soaked it yet - will do in the next day or so - still feeling crap at the mo - and it wer Yella wot mentioned it.
 
ive already told him what it needs, its been out of the axle fer just over a week, in the elements et al, before i took it out, i pushed the axle up and down the yard to make sure it was a good un, and everything was working then, ffs daft, get it in some old soak, then assemble it and spin a wheel

i aint unhappy about it - I reckon it can be fixed ok. I leave em to take the **** outta your freelander now ;)
