I have no idea if these are genuine miles. I do know then engine is original.

Quite amazing stamina from the awd bugger.

nothing odd there???? a quarter of a million is not unexpected if looked after... unless you have a TD... :)

So why does my Series 3 only have five digits on its odometer? Lack of confidence that it'd make the 100,000?


Nah with the fuel crisis looming in the 70's they thought no one could ever afford to get the mileometer to get that high :)

Also a cunning landrover ploy to keep the resale value high as any series 3 would have to be sold with less than 99,999 miles on the clock :)

its cos by the time it gets to 100,000 damm near everything has bin changed so what you got is a noo vehicle in need of registrashun. this way the number of registred landies goes up and the percentage of landies still on the road stay at the 105% mark ( it used to be 250% but then along came the gaylander)
