My dad has some BFG 235/85/R16 that were designated for our 110 project, but with all this bad weather we want to put them on my range rover (current tyres are shagged) so we have another mode of transport should the need transpire since our P38s air suspension pump is in the process of packing up... we live in a remote location and my dad also has a history of heart problems so I want to get the classic fit for purpose asap.

Will they fit with standard 110 steelies?
Looks very close...

Dunno, aren't 110 steelies narrower than rr wheels?
Besides unless your classic has raised ride height you'll probably find they'll catch the wheelarches and rear mudflaps as they go up due to the taller sidewalls. I tried that size tyre on mine and they fouled when articulated so i stuck with standard size tyres and have some 30/9.5/16 mud tyres on alloys

Thanks for all the help guys, looks like they will be too big unless I get a 2" body lift and a bit of trimming at least for a quick fix.

Without modification you can put on 235/70/16.

235/85/16 would be a bit tight and certainly no good off tarmac as they will catch as the axles articulate.

for an extra £125 you can get a 2" body lift of ebay from wizardsec for a disco that ive fitted to my classic then 265/75/16's,
Was the best option for me anyway as i still have a working EAS system on my classic.

I've got 265/75/16 on mine.
2" taller springs on and that does me fine for the purposes required. You'll need to adjust the steering stops (doddle) to stop them rubbing against the radius arms when on fulll lock.

Don't need to go mad just to get bigger tyres on.
