Hi all has does anyone know where i can get a download of the workshop manual for a discovery 2 td5 circa1999, including td5 engine. I do have a copy on disc but don't have access to drive at the moment. Ideally i would like to download pdf style. Cheers
As Discool said, the previous link is for a NAS edition of RAVE, which only covers the V8 engine on a DII.
I've zipped and uploaded a couple of UK editions of RAVE to Extabit, the .zip files are here -
DII TD5 & V8 (Pre-Facelift), Range Rover P38, Freelander 1 (up to 2001), Defender 300Tdi, V8i (50th Anniversary) and TD5 (1999-2001) - RAVE_2001.zip
DII TD5 & V8 (Post-Facelft), Freelander 1 (2001 onwards) - RAVE_2003.zip
You don't need a Premium Account to download them, you can do it for free, if you look down the page, under the PayPal logo, you'll find the link to the free download -

The .zip archives, will unpack to a folder called RAVE_2001 and RAVE_2003 respectively, from which you can run RAVE, by double-clicking the RAVE.exe file.
Be quick though
The files are only kept for so many days after the last download, and these are due to expire in a day or two...

Extabit can be a bit crap for bandwidth, I've checked and the files are still there (currently, until the 22nd June).
One of the members of the D2BC Forum has uploaded my files to his web page, you may have better luck in getting them from there -

Hi, I am in exactly the same boat as previous posters. Already have the RAVE thing but cannot find what I need for the td5 engine. All I have is Haynes...say no more. Can anyone set up a new link as the others on this thread are old and have thus died the death.

The description and operation of the engine will be the same in any RAVE so if you have one why download another, say what you dont find and i'll tell you where it is if it is cos i know it by heart

So you are saying you have the RAVE ? what you wrote above is a little confusing.........LOL.
as the links above are to the RAVE. I am not sure what else you are looking for? what info ref the TD5 are you looking for?

That's not complete RAVE, or it wasnt installed properly, if you have RAVE you should click on rave.exe, download from here: http://www.d-lander.com/manuals/
Hi all, to be clearer, what I have is also the RAVE for US with NAS etc including V8 engine. Fine for bodywork etc but I cannot seem to find the TD5 engine workshop manual, which I need as I am doing work on the exhaust manifold

Ok, I have had a look and a/ there is no Engine Overhaul manual for the TD5, b/ the Discovery 2 maintenance manual only covers the V8, but c/ I am now downloading Rave 1 as it covers the Defender td5, so I am hoping it will have more details of the TD5 engine.
I think this is what happened to me before and it seems like there is a hole into which the TD5 Discovery falls. But thanks for the link, I will persevere. Regards

By the way, I do appreciate that there is an enormous amount of stuff to with the TD5 on the Disco 2 manual, but it does not go into the great detail that it does for the V8.
