Its the pickup bed/optionally the bit that tips etc, yes, part of the body. So tell me why I can have one of them on a 130 chassis, but not a disco body, without IVA inspection etc

A tray back is not a pick-up/tipper its an off-road lightweight conversion...yes you can build what you want but you have to have it tested... LR special vehicles can build you what you want but can you afford it?...

Probably not, but if they can build it, without IVA having to inspect and issue s Q plate, then why cant I?
What I mean is, how will they do it differently to me? (Dont care about neat and tidy, of course theirs will be a better quality finnish etc, but surely if I copy what they would do, I dont need IVA either?)

By "engineering" what exactly do you mean? Does someone come and check their maths?
As I said, my mate is an engineer (in his 40s) with a degree in mechanical engineering, not just a pleb with a cutting disc on an angle grinder (thats me)

There are differences between a Q plate & a motor that’s been for an IVA.

Well thats 15 mins of my life i wont get back.
Landyzone has gone soft it took 9 pages before any abuse!
I find it very hard to be abusive to teenagers, he is midway in age to my 6 grandchildren.
But there is a mighty difference between him and say Henry B! Although similar ages.;)

Thanks for that update he and I did cross swords when he joined will give him a pm...
I have no idea how he came to be in his position but I think I am right in saying that he is responsible for at least one younger sibling, on his own.
I find him knowledgeable and a good laugh.
Didn't he kick off "Top Totty"? Respect for that!:):):)

Okay, so Im thinking of chucking a cheeky bid on the ambulance, but that means selling my current one, a low milage, manual 3.9 V8i, so does anyone fancy making me an offer?
Feel free to post or PM me any questions.
