breakfast news on friday showed a landrover ferrying people through the floods, but the police were about to close the road because the farmer complained the bow wave was causing flood water to enter his farm. the police may have closed the roads to all but essential services.
anyhow the pikeys have been around flood areas liberating things (have you seen the rs5 that has been stripped?) including fire brigade quads, so i dont think your landys will be very safe.

I've let it me known locally I'm available but not sure how it would work for lzir. An offer to the authorities like a response group?

Wessex 4x4 Response are supplying support.

With the Pikeys about they might be glad of a few rear gunners though!

Last time I contacted Wessex 4x4 Response they said they were full and had sufficient members, I think you have to be CRB checked as well....

Yeah they are only accepting new members through referral ATM and yes you need a CRB check as you work with vulnerable people.

Sorry but putting that lot together just gave me an idea.

Floods + 4x4 + prostitutes

This sounds like a job for Blue Beasty and his ambulance - mobile brothel in flooded areas.
:eek::D

I'm always willing to try anything if it'll help :D

Is there a charity or anything? Sein as though the government seem reluctant to help?

Although they have now said they I'll put money in, they are only doing it to save face. Taken them 5weeks to even look at assessing the situation.
Would have been a mutiny if they carried on sending aid abroad without starting to aid with issues at home

How about anyone with contacts in the area letting folk know thay there's some folk that might ne willing to help out if someone's in trouble.

I'm an hour from the levels but wouldn't mind being asked to shift great auntie Flo's stuff upstairs or ferrying in bottled water.....whatever really if it'll help.
