Hello All!
It was recently recommended to me to buy a diagnostics tool of some sort or another, if i was going to be keeping the td5 for a while, and keep it in fine fettle. Well i went for the plunge and bought a Lynx (labelled as BritPart), and i have to say i couldn't be happier with it..
You need a laptop, but you can plug it all in and take it for a drive, and see exactly whats doing what. I have a defender, so have no rev gauge or anything. I was able to read engine rpm, air flow, inlet temp etc etc whilst driving along, so i knew at any given speed exactly what was going on! Brilliant!!
Im sure most of you know this already, but i just thought id share with you my first play with it, and to highly recommend it. Island 4x4 are the best price around if you are interested! Now brace yourselves for all the annoying questions regarding fault codes!
Cheers!
