.... and do so ASAP - cos if the ratios are different - one of them will fail.
More likely to be the centre diff that fails if there are different ratios front and back. It must be taking a real shellacking.

TQOnly thing diff lock does is connect front and rear and cut out the centre diff so that front or rear cannot spin independently. Only reason i can think of if when you select diff lock car slows and stops is front and rear diffs have different ratios. There really can't be any other reason for it.
Thanks for warning me.I'll wil inform my mech.asap.... and do so ASAP - cos if the ratios are different - one of them will fail.
Okay I'll try to get the manual for to get better picture what and how allthose things work.TQ..and maybe find a better mechanic, and a handbook online (the Land Rover website good start?) Enjoy, A
Thank you for your advice.I will start searching from now to make me more understand.what, how and when the problem will happen...and maybe find a better mechanic, and a handbook online (the Land Rover website good start?) Enjoy, A
Agreed - my mistake - I meant to say one of the three.More likely to be the centre diff that fails if there are different ratios front and back. It must be taking a real shellacking.
