Hi folks,
Just a quick one. Since buying my P38 I've been having to use the EKA code to access the vehicle (the original owner butchered the circuit board somehow whilst attempting to replace the fob battery). The fear of being locked out and embarrassment of looking like I'm trying to jimmy the lock to steal a car in the supermarket car park led me to order new keys from my local LR main dealer.
Problem is this. It has been 2 months since I ordered the keys and they still haven't arrived with the dealer. I've opened a case with Land Rover customer services to try and find out what's going on with these keys but they are rather hush hush and call me weekly to say there's no update available.
My suspicion is that there's some sort of issue with a part supplier (other forum posts from 2010 would lead me to believe this has been the case before). I'd be interested to hear if anyone else on here has had similar issues. Not particularly bothered about the money, but one would expect to receive a part like that after 10-14 business days and not 2 months.
Cheers in advance,
Sandy.
(attached for posterity is a picture of my currently knackered key).
