Due to ice , I thought I'd cheat n use the disco 2 td5 to do the morning commute , what a warm and very comfy she be and now she's tweaked , she hits the engine limiter in the first 4 gears , next job , Intercooler and re-map , nice one Mr Land Rover
Is it a TD5 or a V8?
My TD5 has never seen north of 3000rpm.
Mine changes up nicely at 4300rpm
Mine's a manual gearbox car, been re-mapped, so I drive her between 1500 and 3000rpm. To be honest I've never felt the need to go any higher.
I just can't imagine why anyone would want to rev a TD5 that high, I find driving on the torque (max torque at 1800rpm in std. trim) to be very satisfying tbh.

its a manual td5 , after doing the egr, clean sensors, up the boost , change the turbo modulator , new air filter . i was wondering how she would go , nd much better she does , it was just to check that the things i had done worked , came home in normal driving mode , smooth and quiet , just gotta find someone in norfolk to re-map the beast ? any ideas ?
