how much should it be in a minute?

Only reason I ask, on my Fathers D2 Td5 when he got it. felt sluggish. I changed fuel filter on it and it would not start. When I checked the flow rate it was the same flow as specced for the LP pump side at the FPR. fitted my fuel pump and the car started. Then checked the fuel flow rate and it was as specced for the HP fuel flow rate.

To my mind checking pressure and flow at the FPR inlet if OK to specs , removes that side of the system from the equation.

Cheers

Thanks Neilly, I see. Today I replaced the injector o rings and washers, cleaned that area. No difference. When I finally got it to start same issue. Ran for a little while, rough idle, smoke, and the shut off as if run out of fuel. The fuel preassure seem good before and after regulator. No leak at regulator. When the car shuts off, the fuel pump is quiet too... I don't remember how it should be. Should it shut off at stall or continue to run or do I have an electrical issue where the fuel pump is shut off after initial pumping? Now at home I am thinking maybe I have an air intake blockage. That could produce the smoke and the stall right? Have to take off the inlet hose again to check to that... Can the regulator be damaged in a way that it could produce issues like this, it's not leaking or showing reduced preassure.

Air inlet causing vacuum in tank possibly. Try loosening fuel cap once it starts to stop :) and see if there's a hiss.

Just thoughts, don't shoot me!
