Could anyone help as not sure as to what to purchase to remedy this. Also need to know if the parts would differ because it's an auto. Have already topped up with brake fluid so its not that, the advice was knackered brake servo unit and master cylinder could anyone advise, thanks

Maybe you could describe in at least some detail what the issue is?

When I press the brake pedal it goes straight to the floor but regains position when I've took my foot off. Have spoke to a friend about this and he mentioned that it may need bleeding as the reservoir was almost empty and there doesn't seem to be any loss of fluid on the driveway.

Brake systems shouldn't need topping up, the fluid will drop a bit as the pads wear but not enough to empty the reservoir. Suggest you bleed the system as a staring point, when you have finished make a note of where the level is in the res (take a picture) then run it and keep checking the level to see if it drops. If it does you have a leak.
