Loosing coolant (water) from the expansion bottle top .? I think
Has anyone got any ideas why
It's worse if I try motorway journeys ??
 
Either seal / cap faulty or the system is over pressurising, which is either HG or cracked head.
Whats the temp guage running at? is it higher than normal even with bottle topped up?
 
Whats rad condition like? is the bottom hose hot, yet tad cooler than the top one?
Just ascertaining (as is James I expect) that the the rad is working and that water has good flow through the system.
Clogging / corroded rads lose efficiency quite badly.
 
Check to see If the little black outlet pipe on the expansion tank is dripping coolant when engine is cooling down if so the system is over pressurising suspect HG or cracked head
 
Could it be a simple as the thermostat being faulty .?? And not allowing water through the rad .? (Was suggested to me yeserday)
