Engines are like Welding to me mate, aint got a cluemy 300 has been very smokey for a while on tick over changed stem seals as they were a bit stiff still the rich smoke and a burst of smoke when reving so pulled injectors out today and they were friggin rotten got the mr muscle oven cleaner out got rid of the carbon clean as a whistle after that then put them into acetone on the tips for an hour or so put em back in was smokey at first but they must of new sorted themselves out as its burning clean as a whistle didnt take injectors apart and they are sorted removed vith homemade tool that screws onto top of injector with a loop on it to put a sliding hammer through couple of taps on sliding hammer and they are out.

If you are not mechanically minded and learning as you are going along I think you'll need to revise your time estimate. Will your shed be big enough for you to get the Landy in, so you can work on it in all weathers? Not Yet concentrating on extending my Garden shed come workshop. need to make it bigger then build work benches round it.

I would be giving the engine a check over before I tried to start it and I wouldn't run it for long.
