Hi all. Just came back from France with a 98 Disco v8, have made my introductions (below).

Just about to do the importing thing, when it occurred to me I need to refit it with UK headlights. Anyone know of a good (read cheap) source?

Or is anyone heading over to the continent and wants to do a swap?

Just assumed they were swapped for the continent.

How ironic, I went back to the UK from France to buy my '98 300TDI. There was more choice there, think my sister-in-law in the Dordogne has most of the ones down there in the village she lives in. Like a Land Rovers Owners Club Meeting when she has an open 'house'. But if you're at all interested I'll do a swap also for RH units, okay second in line. But the offer there.

If you park in front of a wall or similar at night you will see the shape of the beam when on dip.

The shape is like this: __/ for LHD and \__ for RHD. The idea is that it lights up the verge without dazzling on-coming drivers.

Yep, def got LH headlights that need swapped out.

No I'm in France a few kilometers from the Biglad. But I can get them to you via the courier service I use in two days....but as I wrote, second in line. Beam benders are not that good, but round here very few cars on the roads to bother.

Mine was a cheeky throw away comment,I have nothing to swap as I'm already running lhd lights but could always do with some spares, take the other offer mate.

If any deals fall through I'm regularly in france and would take them off yer hands at the right price. Saves me getting jiggy wiv tha gaffer tape and then the joyous job of removing it when we get home to the uk.
