Hi guys ive been mulling this over a lot lately.

im in the process of welding up my chassis and the waxoyl has been a night mare to clear away.

So im planning on having the whole thing cleaned back to metal then a rust treatment then paint, the usual chassis overhaul.

but I seen a defender on ebay a couple of months back and the whole thing had been painted in line x paint.

Now I know its usually used for bed lining on pickups bt im seriously debating whether to get the chassis painted in it, is it sets as a polyurethane paint and bonds to the metal in theory im thinking this will be quite inpenetratable (sp).

Just wondered of what you guys think?

It's certainly becoming a more fashionable option. I would've thought that if you were going through that much trouble stripping it down then do it properly and opt for a galvanised chassis. I think this would be the cheapest option. :)

A galvy chassis is like 1500 quid if not a little more this option will cost me no where near that, that is basically the only reason why I haven't gone the galvy route buddy.

and to be honest even if I got a galvy I'd still look at doing the line x just for durability reasons when off roading.

I just wanted to know if any of you guys had any advice, suggestions
