Hi all

Last week I created a post regarding my car being driven for a long time, then going into limp mode. The car was stuck in 3rd and I just about got it home. I assumed it must be a gearbox issue. I'd noticed the engine had been smelling of burning oil recently and read on this forum that it could be a result of the radiator/oil cooler being blocked.

A week later I took it out and within 5 minutes of driving it up the road and parking up at the shops the car started to loose power, slower and slower, the engine light then came on and one minute later I had to pull the car over.

Previously that day, I had driven it for 20 minutes, stopped and it was almost impossible to start, it eventually did and I got home.

I made a video of the engine (listen towards the end). I also read this could be something to do with the Coil packs.

Any experts care to chime in on this?

Do you have any diagnostics ?
Engine doesn't sound great !
Burning oil smell is normally PCV system and / or cam cover gaskets.
Certainly fuel pump could be a good place to start looking or fuel filter but without diagnostics it is difficult to tell what is going on.
Does the engine rattle as badly as it sounds in the video?
If you have CEL illuminated then you should have logged some fault codes.
