could anyone please tell me what limp home means in terms of actual speed. I have a defender 130.

IIRC it limits RPM not speed per se. Reckon max at around 50 mph

I have no experience of this but manual states that the engine will be limited to idle speed only. ie your throttle wont work and engine will not run above your vehicles normal idle speed. 740 +/-50 RPM.

When I had an issue the engine would run but if I touched the accelerator the engine managment light came on and no increase in revs. She just sat ticking over.
