It gets worse? The same welds over and over and over again. It ****ed me off just looking at it..................
Gets a lot worse, the welding is the nice easy bit, just sit there and plug away with 120 welds over 2 and a bit days...

My arm is knackered tho, so using a grinder for any period of time makes my arm go numb/pins and needles, then I can't grip anything and get a tingling for hours... My usual helper is busy at the moment, they usually do the grinding etc while I'm welding, so the kits are usually made in 3 days rather than the 7 it'll take me. Each kit takes a good 10 mins total dressing with 3 different bits of equipment :(

even after grinding my weldings don't look as good as those...
on my book that only needs sanding, primer and paint.

Yup, just remove the spatter and de-scale the outside faces ;)

OK boys and girls, kit are at the platers now, meant to get a pic of them all cleaned up, but I was up against it for time this afternoon so completely forgot!
Nevermind
Should get them back Thursday/Friday, will get them dispatched as soon as I can after that. (UPS collection cut off time is midday for booking in, so likely get them sent the next working day after I get them back).

Nice box of zinc passivated goodness arrived today ;)

If anyone doesn't have their kit by the end of the week then let me know!

2 kits still available at time of writing... I also have one set of camber pins in stock too, so can dispatch a kit with pins quickly if need be.

For anyone who isn't sure, this is what you get from me...
2x fronts, 2x rears, bolts welded into place, and new z/p serrated flange nuts to go with the new bolts... Everything bar the nuts is then zinc passivated yellow which is the longest lasting and most hard wearing of the normal zinc passivation treatments, silver, clear etc don't last as long

These things finally turned up this morning! But the boxes won't fit inside the lift kits... So just packing them loose inside :D

Can't express how delighted the wife was this afternoon when a receiver hitch and lift kit arrived for the old Freelander. This was only 24 hours after I advised on a thrifty Christmas after an expensive year.

I assume claiming "It's ok love it was only 50 quid for the lot, and I paid for it 6 weeks ago" did not do the trick as I haven't seen her since I heard the front door slam.

On a brighter note, fooking crackin' bit of fabrication !!!! :)

You know that cheap Christmas you thought you were having? You'll be having to buy her something nice now ;)

Glad you're happy Ian, altho I need to revisit my money making plans if I only charged you 50 for the lot ;) get some pics up when it's all fitted, the 2 bolts for the hitch are inside the lift kit.

Package of shininess received, ta!

Now, this receiver hitch..... What did I miss? I've got a normal tow bar and was looking to replace the Swan neck with a receiver for a shackle, and relocate the tow electrics in to the rear bumper skin.
