Last month i brought a 95 disco tdi300 which as it came was ok till i got stuck off roading, last night i brought some nice mud tyres on 16 inch stealy's, i had a little rubbing on some big bumps at full load on the way home and now i wanna buy a lift kit to solve the problem.
What i dont know is what the max lift i should buy so i wont have to change props and brake lines etc.
Can anyone help ???

You can put a 1m lift on if you like but yeh diffs are still going to be at the same height, as soon as you start going up you start having prop angle problems and may I also suggest a spare paire of knickers for if you ever have to do a fast lane change!

What size tyres? Probs just rubbing on yeh front spings for which you have to set a max lock screw stopper or if they are 85's you might have to trim rear wheel arches.

I suggest you go for a proper play with yeh new tyres, kin incredible where they will go in standard spec-

the only advantage of a lift kit is it reduces the likelyhood of yu getting wet going thro a puddle!

Didnt check the wheel size but this is them on my disco

permission to say that looks stoopid and you have no movement at all........think you may need to get some smaller tyres or invest in a 2" lift kit with extended pipes and stuff

Sirus, eveyone has there own taste and thanks but no thanks

So from the sounds of it if i put a 2" lift on her i'll have to change Brake lines and props, seen 40mm kits which works out to around 1.5" will i get away with standard props and brake lines with this lift. will be removing the rest of the plastic front bumper which is the closest part other then that as a 80's song said "the only way is up" which is all good for me!
Oh yeah i do pack spare boxers as the steering is like driving a giant jelly

right the tyres i now have are 7.50 16 80 and do rub a bit, i need to know what is the highest to lift my disco without having to start changing props and brake lines. Ok Brake lines are easy!
Does anyone know what heights relate to what you need to do ????

ffs did i not say put a 2" lift on it otherwise you'll look like a total plank drivin a spazmobile

ooh cuz that is fookin rocket science int it.......... change the fookers. yur old uns are probably gonna leak anyways...get em dun an stop moanin

cuz im gonna go round there and cut em if he dunt eever change his wheels or put a 2" lift on it:cool: ;) :p

When you 2 have finished your retarded blabber maybe someone with some with half a brain will reply to my post!
Don't bother replying because i can barely translate your backwards farmer lingo.
So your gunna cut my brake lines, GROW THE F**K UP !!!!
