Just been chatting with Alan, he's in fair spirits but struggling with his eyesight and energy. Also having IT issues stopping him getting to the forum in person.
He saw Mozz last week I understand, and had some garage sorting time with his son recently too.
He's been to his local working mens club to arrange his wake, which he said was very therapeutic. But he doesn't want to miss out so is thinking of having a pre - wake with people if possible.

Antewake sounds good to me.

Eyesight going? Hairy hands? The symptoms sound familiar.

Had 35 mins on phone this morning with Alan. He was really happy about seeing Mozz and his wife. Health wise as in previous post plus keeps having TIA's (mini strokes) and says this has left him with the smell of burning rubber most of the time. I had to remind him this was only the carpet burns when nursey pays him a visit. It was great to hear him laugh when he heard that. We shared the filth batton back and forth for a while after that. He says sometimes getting out of bed can be tiring and does he want to. Not if he's got nursey with him I of course replied.
For anyone who has sent him a voice mail he din't realize he was getting any. Now he knows he will check them all and sends his thanks. I think the garage clearing may be worrying him a bit so if anyone is able to help in any way possible it would be greatly appreciated.
It was great just to chat about RR's and how he would love to go for a drive.
Any ways anybody who can don't be frightened to call or message him as it really cheers him up.
