I remember collecting a recon short motor from Croydon in the late 70’s, it was definitely not going to run, only had two undamaged main bearing caps e !reminds me of the re conditioned engine and gear box scams from the 80's

From what you have said I assume you found this thread online as you have lost your vehicle. May I ask what happened? I assume engine failure, which may have been passed to the sunbeam garage for repair and its vanished? How long ago did this happen and what is the original seller doing about it?No not mine then. Thanks very much
I bought a 2016 disco 4 in December 2019 in Warrington, 8 weeks later the crank broke and engine seized. The guys I bought it off took it to a Land Rover dealer in Stockport, Land Rover offered to pay 50% of the cost to fix and the cheap assholes decided to take it elsewhere but didn't tell me where. I found out yesterday that it was to a company called Vehicle Maintenance and the gave me a phone number 0800 404 6983 to speak to Ricky or Jay. I googled the number and name and couldn't find a listing anywhere. When I called I got speaking to a Jimmy and he said they were in Sunbeam Road in Wolverhampton. I have a solicitor on it now with the sellers in Warrington as it was still under warranty to them. I can only assume they took it to these assholes and that Jay is Jaspal ?From what you have said I assume you found this thread online as you have lost your vehicle. May I ask what happened? I just wanted the info for the solicitor, it will be through him and the dealer from here on.To be honest it's not up to you to call
the repairing garage and l wouldn't get involved if l were you.
All your correspondence and phone calls should be to the dealer who supplied you
with the vehicle.
I don't now of any names other than the ones previously mentioned on this ere fred.
It just goes to show even garages get taken in by these scum bags. From what I'm told they're still at it. Their car park is still full of half trashed cars. The street outside is the same. They use it as their overspill.
Any of these?

Yep one of those is mine. Are they on the street ? I would like to send someone to get a picture.
Yes. I have sent you a pm.Yep one of those is mine. Are they on the street ? I would like to send someone to get a picture.
Already instructed, I agree the dealer has obviously not done his homework on who they are. It's a complete mess.Suggest you instruct your solictor to focus on getting your money back, there is very little chance the dealer will get the vehicle back and even then you would not want it. Your case against the dealer is straighforward; you paid money and did not receive the goods paid for in merchantable quality. Everything else will be a shambles and the odds are that "Jay" will fold up the business and do a runner so there will be on one to serve papers on.
If its out on the road could it be towed away? You can't be nicking your own motor
