After looking at the "
Wolverhampton engine repair fraud action group
On Facebook, this is their latest address

105704969_1439512312909864_2367139142804744948_o.jpg

Interesting find. Moorfield Road WV2 4QT runs parallel to Sunbeam Street WV2 4PF. They're 160 meters apart. Factory units. Some backing onto sunbeam Street units. A lot of vehicle related companies in a small group of roads. Hidden amongst other reputable trades/companies.

Looking up Moorfield Road it has a history of multiple vehicle companies and insurance type companies. Most of which were dissolved some years ago. The insurance companies are run by different people to the motor companies. The insurance companies follow a pattern of being setup and run by the same insurance people each time, then closed. Then another pops up under a different name and registration, doing the same thing and linked to the same people.

Historically the engine scammers have used different addresses to advertise their business. One of them was in Wales and it was said the owner was p*ssed oft and knew nothing about the scam.

A quick search on those phone numbers provides some interesting reading.

Looking at the sellers account they currently have 220 vehicle related listings on ebay.

This particular listing shows an interesting photo. A recovery truck unloading a D4. Compare the building behind in the two photo's below. I think it's the same building in Sunbeam Street. Car pic from ebay listing. Street pic from street view online. So that links the new advert using a false company name to the location of the scam engine company this fred is about.

Ah yes. Taken into consideration. I remember him telling me how good that was. How they couldn't pin anything else on him. Then telling me how they had stitched him up because he got the full six months inside because of his list of extras. Originally he was only looking a (i think) a further driving ban and a fine!
It was him who told me how he learned the difference between TWOC, taking without the owners consent, and theft. TWOC means in effect joyriding. Where you nick a car but don't intend to keep it. Theft is when you intend to deprive the owner of his car.
He shot himself in the foot with that one too.
Norman Stanley Fletcher, he wasn't!
At least he's a good boy now. Has been for a long time. It's funny how a good woman can beat the stupid out of you :D:D
PILLOCK!
TWOC is recent used to be TDA, but TDA with or without consent caused problems hence TWOC, now if you give consent and they not insured you get done for 'permitting to drive with no insurance. the law as it relates to vehicle crime has extra layers etc

Now yer unsplitting hairs. :p

There's value in what's taken even if say the engine is fuked. It's to our understanding they mostly want engines and gearboxes. Its said they ship them out of the uk. The rest of the vehicle disappears we assume as they're never found. By the time the owner realises... its probably already been 'processed' to hide it for good.

The case against them relates to bad business practice, of pushing up prices. Theres no case for nicking cars, regardless of how we describe their collection and none return scam. So looks like they will get away with that.
sadly civil law is a PIA they did not TAKE, they were given / entrusted whatever way you dress it up the issue here is FRAUD with an intent ot permanently deprive of asset which is why they are not being charged with theft and being charged with Fraud. THEY can claim failure to pay for goods and retain the entrusted asset as collaterol the small print will cover them for that. Proving a Mens Rea here (intention) is very difficult so the tenadancy is to prove a 'course of action on more than one occurance' showing a pattern of "mens Rea' AKA intention to defraud. the law is an ass you may have heard people say.

Can't find anything on No1-diret as a company.
That 01952 code is Telford(Shropshire)
But the 'seller' is in Ramsgate according to the legal thing on eBay.

Yup. They're advertising their details to be that of a dissolved company. It's against the rules to trade under the name of a dissolved company.

Rest assured, the cars he borrowed were never with the driver's consent!

Guys, some serious investigations there, well done. How best to use it? Get e-bay listings removed, I've had some luck with other fraudulent listings. If you can find the investigating officer for the current case you may get some traction as they will always want more evidence. You could try the local trading standards as they may have a case in preparation. I had a lot of trouble with a fraudulant van repair place - I complained to the local authority, turned out the owner had theatened their staff and they were very keen for someone to complain and provide evidence. It ended up in Reading Crown court and his business was shut down

We're waiting for the court case which was delayed by the virus. The police collected lots of reports and created a case to go to court. Hopefully they will be shut down permanent. They're still operating at the moment.

The ebay seller no1-direct is still running under the address of the pub listed above. I wonder if the pub know of this. Assuming they're not operating an office from that address… the pub could complain to ebay. I think it would need the pub to make the complaint as we don't have evidence it's a fake business address. Assuming it's fake… the pub probably won't know unless someone tells them their address is being used by scammers.

Drop the pub an e-mail with a screen shot from the add. I suspect they will take it seriously as this can lead to on-line reviews for the car repair being posted on the pub and these are really hard to delete.

These are also "trading" as Dynamic Automotive Engineering" we have bene done for circa £4k. Fraud team involved and trading standards. There yard is full of landrovers and vans in pieces
May I ask what happened? Collection of vehicle and money and it disappeared or did they take the vehicle for repair then increase the price agreed or you don't get the vehicle back?
