Maybe if trading standards have them on record trading standards should be told that they are advertising on ebay and they might have the clout to get ebay to remove there listings, other thing would be to sell a warning on ebay for 1p about dodgy engine repairs for both landrovers and transits if you can make it hard for them to get customers they will go broke[/QUOTE]

They often put a pic of the wrong engine in the photo's.

The push for cash payment... i guess not all goes through the business and no chance of a refund, like when using other methods. Also no trace of it thereafter.

They turn over so many vehicles they can't store them on the site long term. They have access to a few other buildings in the same area that could easily store them. There must be a point where they're scrapped.

You can do a hpi vehicle check which will tells you if a vehicle is listed as having been scrapped.

If doing so, please be careful which online site you use. Some are scams.

Only costs a few sovs to do. Instant result given.

chances are they wont be scraping them legally since they wont have access to the log book

They leave some of the vehicles in the road outside. Engines and front end missing on some. Even their own abandoned recovery trucks. Warning paperwork appears on the windscreen. After a while they disappear. I assume removed by the council or police.

I wonder if anyone who has a vehicle at the garage ever receives warnings off the police or dvla etc for no tax, no insurance or other, because of this.

They get through hundreds of vehicles a year.

Thinking about this some more... it's not that difficult to scrap a car if a scrap yard wants it. They're regulated and get unannounced inspections but that's not every day. Pull all the usual liquids and battery out. Trip the air bags. In the crusher it goes. The yard could even make some easy money out of it in bits. Full leather seats etc and a few body panels, wheels/tires etc.

Lots of vehicles disappear in the uk each year. A recent mtrack recovery vid on youtube shows a merc partly stripped with most of the bits in the room. A range rover roof cut off in one piece leaning against something anorl. A previous victim.

abandoned vehicles picked up by the council normally get a bill sent to the registered owner, lots in an area would start ringing bells in the local council offices

Judging by the length of this thread and how long this has gone on, obviously it hasn't.
Its amazing how a bunch of guys have gotten away with such activities for so long, and in the UK, no less...
You would imagine stuff like this getting ignored by corrupt police and city officials in some third world nation, who more often than not would have a stake in "the business"

It beggers belief it's been going on this long. The virus delayed the court case.

It's a real shame there isn't a fast track team who enter companies like this and investigate with the ability to stop them trading within days/weeks of looking at what they get up to, and finding out what we know from those who have been fuked over.

Trading standards etc need stronger powers. And more funding.

Your black disco 4 is now on Street View. Recorded in August 2020. Unfortunatley they hide the reg plate but we already know it's the correct vehicle.

That address has many companies registered to it. I wonder if it's an accountant or solicitor's address.
