Hi All,
Does anyone know to take the safari 5000 apart as I need to fit a new bulb.
I have looked on the rear of the lamp, and there are three small holes.
I cannot see right into the holes but nothing fits, ( screwdriver, allen key, or anything else )

no expereince with that particular light but with spots its usually at the base where the mount is. the rim and the rear bowl are separate, with the glass clamped between the two and the bulb in the back. the bowl holes are usually breathers to allow moisture escape when the lens gets hot to prevent the inside being rotting out

Those 3 holes are the fixing holes. Inside the holes are 3 Phillips screws, where I suspect you are having problems is you have to insert the screw driver in the hole at an angle not straight on. You can see the taper in the hole showing what angle to insert the screwdriver.

On my Safari lamps I've found that I've got to remove the mounting bolt, 17mm socket and drop the light right down and then with a long pozi drive screwdriver I can get the screws out. The lens then just comes off allowing the bulb to be removed. Hope this helps
