Hi all, looking at getting a few things sorted for my 90 over the next few weeks such as sump guard plastic a bar and spots possibly snorkel, seat covers and so on. Its my first landy and i don't really know about where to be looking for parts and would like to source locally if possible to save paying postage and so on. I think i'll be giving my local dealer a miss as the quoted £540 for parts and vat when fitting a snorkel

Thanks,

George

You're better off ordering online. The 'soft' A bars (like fitterd to the newer defender high spec models - if thats the one you mean) are overpriced. If you buy from John Craddock (website) and spend over £60 (roughly) you get free postage. They're usually pretty quick with postage too. Never take it to the dealer for repairs (unless you've got a brand new one and its under warranty :D ) you'll just get a big pit in your pocket. Try to find a mechanic in your area which works for himself and has his own workshop - theres usually a couple around specialising in Land Rovers and 4x4s. Good luck

No, No, No, thieving twonks, they'd steal the worm from a blind hen.

Whoops went up there yesterday and picked up a steel steering guard as they were the same price as others online. However they either gave me 1 too few bolts or i've lost it in the car not really sure need to do a proper search but i think its a fault on there part.
