Yeah, what you need my young friend is a ****ter!
Crash it into your mates car and back it into lampposts, maybe modify the interior with an air freshner and a new stereo that does exactly the same as your old one then when you've had that a year or so and you reckon your a bit better at driving than you are now. Then buy something you like.
Don't get a car you like for your first car, statistically you or your mates will crash it inside a year.
How about fit some new standard doors that won't rust... that'll be pretty unique in it's own right
I am think of buying a Defender 90 to restore and modify and thinking of what modifications to do it, I came across Lambo doors, also known as scissor or vertical doors, basically instead of opening outwards they rotate forwards to allow you to get in. There isn't a specific kit made for the defender so they would need to be welded on which I am not too sure about, I can't find any guides on the welded ones and I haven't seen it done on a land rover defender either so any thoughts would be much appreciated as well as any other suggestions for modifications.
Here is what I am talking about
Universal : 90 Degree Lambo Doors : Quality Lambo Doors
How is it a danger to me or my passengers?Think of something else to do with your project Defender that will not make it a danger to you or your passengers.
how is it a danger to me or my passengers?
obviously I can weld, I wasn't sure about getting them to line up and whereabouts on the door to place them, as this is a universal kit rather than specified for a model of car in which case it would be bolt on and it would be obvious where the hinge went, with this however there is no guidance on where to place the hinge and how to get the two doors symmetrical
Im sorry, I haven't just rushed into this, it has been a long time in the planning, I thought that perhaps asking other defender owners about their opinion might shed some light on things that I didnt know but clearly none of you are interested in anything new. I don't see how you can assume that "it is obvious the project is beyond your abilities" how do you know what my abilities are.It is not obvious from your thread that you can weld.
It is obvious the project is beyond your abilities as there is far more engineering skills required to complete the task than welding.

Im sorry.
I have not assumed anything I would not do that. You have informed me in your thread that you do not have the ability to complete this project.
Your questions are so basic.
No I havent. This forum is so unhelpful, no one here takes anything seriously, just been a waste of time, cheers
Kahn do **** like that and lets face it your be asking to fit 22 inch wheels and a 50 inch telly in the back.
