I getting excited now..... Nearly 2 weeks off. It probably be like alot of the doos tho all these people saying they are coming and dont turn up.....like grunt is on about missing the first night.....He is seeing what he can do tho......oh dear first night is always best....IMHO :D
 
Only cos you're on about going early an I'm scared of the dark an don't want to drive all the way there by me sen and wot would I do if I got lost or broke down and the bogie man got me so there.

prob miss friday nite cause im just not very good at erecting me tent at nite when it ****ing down and all ive got is an ever ready, double A battery, torch stuck in me gob.

plus ill feel such a plonker if i cant find the site at nite. (ex rally navigator too!)

Dont be so dam soft. We have plenty of lights and we will help ya sort ya tent out. How will ya get lost I will give you my Mobile No before we all set off anyways.... So dont start on them excuses.....:D

\if you get to coniston your mobile will work fine all networks..... Mine works fine on the campsite aswell.....;)

Welcome mate. There is a few from your area who are coming up in convoy so you may be able to join them. ATs are a minimum requirement tho.....what tyres ya got....?

I will maybe have to sort that out for you as its on other forums....and some private ones.... I will find out next week for you if we can get a time for you all to meet. It will probably be somewhere like Skipton The layby on the bypass at a sertain time....This i will have to find out....

I will probably be going up early like about 1pm so most will still be at work unless they can get the day off...;)

Only issue is freezing my bollocks off in a tent!
But like you say, the wood burners should keep us warm!
 
Do what i do and take an old douvet as well as ya sleeping bag. Its not to bad because you usualy so tired at the end of the night you just sleep for england.....he he.....

I am interested in your trip but im new landy owner who has never been off road except on trial bike, my disco is bog standard so dont know what equipment might need any help much appreciated
 
Right mate you need tyres....Standard road tyres are not going to be any good. If you can get some A/Ts at a minimum or some M/T tyres then that will be fine. If not at such short notice why dont you just come up and jump in with someone there is going to be plenty of spare seats....
